This story is not mine; I just want to share this wonderful experience of my friend in the Philippines. We met at the
Tagaytay Hotel where we accidentally stayed on that same day. I wasn’t able to go with him on his trip because I have a meeting and many invitations to attend to.
He asked me if I could feature his trip on my blog, his name is Mike and so here it goes:
Their trip was composed of seven adventurers, they were originally from Bulacan, and they decided to have a trip to one of the Philippines best destinations – the Tagaytay City. The trip started at early in the morning, around 5 am. They rented a van for this particular trip; luckily, the driver knows a lot of tourist spots in the city where they were to have their vacation.
Tagaytay City is 101 kilometers from Bulacan, so their travel almost last for about three and a half hours. Too far and too long isn’t it? But they were so into it that no distance and travel time is too far or too long. Or is their van too slow? Or maybe the traffic is too heavy!
At nine o’clock, they already reached their first stop, one of the city’s pride, wherein the country’s tallest and largest Ferris wheel is located- the Sky Eye. Measuring 207 feet with 32 gondolas, it was the country’s record holder for that title. Because compared to other amusement parks’ Ferris wheel that only measure from 130 to 180 feet.
Sky Ranch is the name of the place, for there is a ranch within the complex. You can do horseback riding with a “cowboy” costume. Sky Fun is the name of the amusement park, and Sky Eye is the name of the Ferris wheel. He said that the view of the wheel’s peak is really amazing. He sent pictures that he captured on that peak of the Ferris wheel.
Before entering the complex, they were required to pay the entrance ticket – PHP 100 (USD 2.20). And each ride has to be paid also before riding. And the Sky Eye cost PHP 150 (USD 3.32). He said that the spectacular view is worth a hundred times of its ticket’s price! At the peak, you can see the whole ranch and the Taal Volcano. Another top and most visited volcano! The pictures are provided below, sorry for the not so crisp photos.
The picture below shows the overlooking view of the Taal Volcano. He said that the weather that time is not so good, that is why it was cloudy.

He told me that the ride in the Sky Eye is so much fun and he wished that it would last for several more minutes, but the time within the ride just last for a few minutes.
There are other rides in the park, but most of them are for kids. The top rides for adults are the Super Viking and the Sky Jump. So they decided to go to the souvenir shop and explore some “pasalubong” for their relatives.
After that Sky Ranch Experience, they decided to eat their lunch at the famous Picnic Grove, the popular place for picnics and lunch. The place is known for its spectacular view of the Taal Volcano. Be amazed at nature’s wonder while having a good time eating lunch.
I will continue their Tagaytay Escapade story on the next blog post. Thank you for reading my blog. Feel free to leave your comments.
